Burning meat on the grill is passable for a few hotdogs and burger patties but for an $$$$$$ cut of meat - it aint happening.
For the ribs I opted to precook them in the oven.
Season with liquid smoke, salt , pepper, garlic salt and paprika - cover with sliced onions and wrap in foil.
Place in oven @350 for 2 hours - remove from foil, place on grill (mainly for the grill marks and the flavor Flips Sauce and close the lid for 20 minutes
chicken drumsticks work better precooked (boiled) with paprika,salt and pepper added to the water. The place chicken on grill -skin side down for grill marks and taste Turn and coat with BBQ sauce
